You scroll through Sophie Chen's old posts. She's the kind of person who overshares, and her digital footprint is a goldmine. Her LinkedIn is polished, but Facebook is where the clues are. A photo from a Blackridge summer party: Sophie grinning, a lanyard around her neck. The ID is blurred, but you can just make out "Risk Oversight" and "Intern". Behind her, a woman in a sharp blazer watches the camera with a smile that doesn't reach her eyes. *Isabella Laurent.* You dig. A post from Sophie's last day at Blackridge: ```text [EXTRACTED: 24/10 03:14 AM via ScraperBot v2.1] [SOURCE: fb_uid_8943209] "Two years of coffee runs, spreadsheet hell, and learning more about risk than I ever wanted to know. Shoutout to IL for being the best mentor a clueless intern could ask for. Onto the next adventure!" ``` *IL.* Isabella Laurent. Another, a year later: ```text [EXTRACTED: 24/10 03:16 AM via ScraperBot v2.1] [SOURCE: fb_uid_8943209] "Still can't believe I got into Harvard Business School. Guess all those late nights at Blackridge paid off. IL, if you're reading this, yes, I did use your 'always CC the compliance team' advice in my application essay. Hope you don't mind." ``` Sophie's posts paint a picture: - Isabella Laurent (IL) was her mentor. - She worked in Risk Oversight, the department that handles Blackridge's most sensitive controls. - She's grateful, almost reverent. The kind of loyalty that never badmouths an old boss, but might let something useful slip by accident. Sophie could be your way into understanding Isabella. The question is how to approach her without tripping an alarm. *See [[Glossary#Pretexting]] for ideas on how to approach her.* **What's your next move?** - **Message Sophie as a fellow alum**: pose as a former Blackridge intern or vendor reconnecting.
